It's Half Ramadhan Already!

Can you guys believe this?! That.. We made it till the middle of the month?!

Hmmph.. I can't believe it. Time goes by so fast.

Today was 'karank3oh' day.. Sigh.. I still remember how I used to go to each house in our area and sing for them so they'd give me nuts and sweets. I can't do that now :( .. I'm old and really I feel like crying. Ahhh okay not really coz I still enjoyed it today. I felt great when I made the children who step by sing for me the song :D god bless them.. wallah they're so cuttttte!!

hehe .. so anywayz..

My exams will start on Thursday, that is two days from now. I'm not really well prepared so I think I'm going to step back from the internet the next 2 weeks. I really should focus on my studies more..

I missed it because I work and live in where I work and there are no kids what so ever there!
Good luck in your exams

Though I dont feel the Qaranqasho anymore, maybe because we are getting older & this is for the kids. Then the kids now days are not that much interested in these stuff.

Good luck Enigma :)

I can't believe it's mid Ramadan either. I feel bad, I've wasted so much time :o(
I missed the kids this year. I'm aaaaall the way here and it doesn't even feel like Ramadan.

All the best in your exams!

-Hp, Allah y3eenk ya5y... I don't know what to say.. It seems your job is consuming you, do you like it? amm..

-Nighty, thanks loads 4 the comment.. And true, not a lot of kids showed up last time.. Not like before I mean.

-ancient, I don't know what's the 'global' definition for it hehe, but my description would be that it's a customary night in the mid of the month Ramadhan, celebrated by kids so you'll see them gather in groups and go to the neighbor houses.. And the people in the houses would give them sweets and nuts to celebrate it with them or something like that. It's just a day to make children happy. Also, every so often the family would visit each other on this occasion :) I think in Saudi Arabia you name it "karka'an"?

-Sultana, I can feel you..just hang in there okay! and thanks for passing.. :)

-TT, frankly, I don't know how it is initiated. Some Shei5s have said that it's 'bed3ah' that we do and thus 7aram, while several others disagreed with their Ijtehad fee al ra2y. Karank3oh is one of our old customs that brings happiness and draw smiles to our children's faces, it does not affect our religion. When the children celebrate it, it's more like they're bringing some of the traditions back; just like a point that connect us between the past and present.. I don't know but that's basically what I learned about it. :)
